The original AMD Driver version is: 15.200.1046.0 date: 22/06/2015 From MS is: 15.200.1046.2 date:15/07/2015 I have installed the original from AMD, this minor update what improves?
Windows Update downgraded my latest AMD R9 200 series 15.7 driver to 15.2, wonder if it do any good , disable windows update for now.
I'm using 15.7 from AMD. I can't launch CCC with the driver provided by Windows Update, it just keeps crashing in the background so I've hidden it. I own a Radeon HD 6670.
i too have been using the v15.7 from AMD for my RHD 7000. Nil for any major issues like crashes here running windows 10 ENT X64, except for overscaling where it resets back during startup so adjusted it to only 50%. Now is fine.
Ahhh, you are about a week late with this announcement, don't you think? It's been publicly available since 11/24/15.
Well lets recommend the Crimson 15.11.1 Beta drivers instead now. The 15.11 release is locking the fans at 20% on cards for some heavy throttling so you don't want that. Probably.
Not unusual for CCC, so it's a carryover to Crimson. If you find 20% unacceptable, use MSI Afterburner to set a custom fan profile. Easy solution. And just to be clear on your statement, do you mean to imply that the fan is locked, no matter what the temp, to 20% ? Because if that's what you meant to say, I find it to not be true on my system. When the GPU temp gets much above 45-50 C, the fan rpms start to rise accordingly.
You can still change the speed of the fans in the overdrive submenu in games/general settings/global overdrive tab.
Does not matter who posted it this driver has serious problems with fans get fixed at 20% speed with as result very high temperatures while playing in games
Not on my system. Playing Fallout 4 with about 20 mods, full Ultra graphics settings, and never get over 50 C temps. Your system is probably in need of tweaking if you have very high temps.
I was simply responding to your post. The op was made some time ago, but your reply is recent, so I addressed you.
