    I think the updates for that are still rolling out for Win10 upgrade users.
    Imo it looks like crap, install VLC in the meanwhile.

    not working the tile is installed but when I double click it is disappears and no dvd app.

    i did try deinstall

    Remove-AppxPackage -Confirm -Package Microsoft.WindowsDVDPlayer_3.6.11761.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe
    and install again, but second time didn't work for me.

    How can that be?

    Thanks, I got it installed, but it looks horrible. (I guess It is my fault for being used to use Cyberlink ultra DVD player, much better image quality )Thanks again.

    does the APPXBUNDLE file contain both architectures? The details look the same for x86 and x64 but I didn't hash them yet.

    Anyone able to reproduce the deinstall and reinstallation?

    re-installed fine for me. Try making sure you use full path names?

    The msi pack checks for the existence of this registry to accept install:
    Code:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ADOVMPPackage\Final]
"ActivationEnabled"=dword:00000002
    adding it will allow the install (not yet verified though on clean install)

    DVD player app is the MS joke replacement for WMC. Nobody cares about DVD players today, there are toons of free and better DVD player. But that's not the case of DVR and TV-tuner players: most of them are buggy, with crap GUI or just do not work at all. WMC was the only piece of software that worked fine with every tv-tuner I ever used.
