    Thanks sebus

So 5 more years of support than normal XP. Microsoft really lost the plot many years ago.

Must be more money in providing a OS for the iDiot crowd than a OS for proper file management for business'.
After Windows 2000, it has been a steady dumbing down.

I'm pleased many things in normal XP can be tweaked to 2000 standard.

Why do you need another restore image?

    To Arachnoid:
By mounting it,and changing the code from the script above (the link)
    The section strKeyPath = "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion"
    to your mount point.
i believe the script need to be saved as a vbs file.
also you can put the iso on a virtual machine.if the image works, then use magic jelly bean finder.

Last night I did a brief try of the evaluation CD. First in a virtual machine then on a standalone PC. Installation took a long time. By default it is installing dotnet framework. I hate that. But so far no issues with SATA!
I agree with Hanzzon2 out of the box it looks better then XP. But about the first I always do is change to classic windows and personal colour scheme.
In performance I see no difference with FLP. It is very similar to FLP, but with modern look, integrated service pack and less bloatware.

By the way there is also a NAVready version, aimed a navigation devices. Personally I can't imagine a navigation device running Windows, just the fact it takes forever to boot would declassify it.
