Windows Embedded POSReady7 Update Registry?

    Is it possible to install a registry key that allows Windows 7 to install updates that are supposed to be targeted for Windows Embedded POSReady 7? If so, what keys would have to be modified and what values?

    Windows 7 is more sophisticated than XP

    why the rush?
    we shall know see how to handle updates when they restrict them to Embedded

    we'll have to wait until Jan. 2020 to find out :)
    right now win7 users should not worry

    Ah. I have done some digging on the internet and apparently you can change windows 7 updates to install on any windows 7 family versions via a config file (don't remember the name of the file though), however I am hoping that I can create an unofficial update similar to winxpsp4 where it installed PoSReady 2009 updates on any Xp version for windows 7.

    I guess we can instal embedded update for windows 7 manualy by downloads all required embedded update via update catalog.:g:

    No because windows 7 registry more complicated than windows xp ._.

    If anyone figures out if there is a way to do this to eek out a little long support on a Win7 machine, let the rest of us know!
