Windows 7 comes with a quick launch explorer icon.
By default it opens up Libraries.
I would like it to open Computer, just like when you choose computer from the start menu.
I have tried deleting the quick launch entry and then draging the computer icon from the start menu to the quick launch but it still opens with the library veiw.
    Any ideas?

For quick(est) access to the drives nothing beats a toolbar on the taskbar.

    In case youre interested:

    1) Unlock Taskbar, grab border, extend one row up

    2) Rightclick taskbar, goto Toolbars, click 'New toolbar'

    3) In tree on the left click Computer, then click Select Folder button

    4) Toolbar appeared on taskbar. Grab dotted line of toolbar and drag all the way down

    5) Toolbar now takes up bottom row on taskbar. Rightclick 'Computer' label and uncheck 'Show Title'

    6) Lock taskbar

There you go: All drives always immediately accessible at the click of a button.

Extra plus: This toolbar functions in real-time, meaning it will only show drives that are currently online and remove drives when you unplug them or unmount them. Very practical if you are often mounting/unmounting TrueCrypt volumes and/or using removable drives...
