Ever since I could I've always had my default view for hard-drive folders set to List - set via Tools:Options:View:Apply to all Folders. Always worked, happy, good!

Now I've entered the world of Android phones and tablets. I plug one into my laptop and it appears in Windows Explorer as a 'Portable Device', fair enough, so it is. However, the default view is set to 'Tiles', not what I've set as default! I can change the view manually, for each folder, but it doesn't stay that way next time I plug it in and I have to do it for every folder I look at!

I've searched online for a solution - found virtually nothing except one that suggested some registry tweaks that weren't very clear (and concerned Windows XP anyway).

There must be some default setting somewhere that can be tweaked. Has anyone any idea please?

    TIA
    Dennis
