Currently I use Windows 10 LTSC + Windows Firewall Control - BiniSoft. WFC: binisoft.org/wfc.php I have been using WFC for several years and I am quite satisfied but there are open source alternatives: 1, SimpleWall: henrypp.org/product/simplewall 2, PrivateWin10: forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/private-winten-open-source-windows-10-privacy-tool-with-built-in-firewall.78651/ Please, has anyone experienced what advantages and differences are in these applications? PS: (Sorry, you need to have 5 posts before you can save or post content containing links.)
I also use binisoft firewall control. I saw the features of simplewall, tinywall now. With more features and customizations simplewall is looking better than other apps. Must try it.
I understand, but maybe someone will have an interesting experience with the differences PS: both open source alternatives look good,
i used comodo firewall for many years until i came to know binisoft firewall control. I found few bad things in comodo and so switched to binisoft. Switching firewalls is not easy thing because you used with certain features of an app for long time. Installing new firewall needs time to teach it again what apps to connect and what to block, create new port options again etc. It takes time. I will try and tell you. Meanwhile you can also try simplewall.
I've been using Simplewall for a while. No issues, though I'm not sure if it blocks everything except that which is allowed.
