Okay - let me first say that I'm a total idiot when it comes to computers, I can do the basic stuff but that is it.
Anyway, recently loaded Windows Live onto my Vista - all fine and well (used the program in XP with no problems). Next part comes to logging in. Halfway through it - Vista stops the program and says that it is blocked by the DEP  . So I follow the instructions on how to unblock it. Only to get told that Window's Live is a program that must have DEP activated  . So - how on Earth do I log in to Windows Live then? Does anyone have a solution for me and can they please give me the instructions in layman's terms - as previously indicated - stupid when it comes to computers

    Maybe here?
TRY: right click on windows live icon and under compatibility tab..click 'run this program as administrator' this may work

    Last ditch..from elevated command prompt..

netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled

Just some ideas..right or wrong? I don't know with the description I am reading..research, use at your risk, and above all...good luck;)

Thanks - running it as administrator seems to have worked :):):)
