How do I make the messenger's main window (marked with red arrow) to appear next to the other minimized icons running next to the clock (marked with black arrow) ? See the atached picture. Thanks...
PROTIP: The current workaround for forcing Windows Live Messenger to system tray in Windows 7 is setting the EXE to Windows Vista compatibility mode.
Thaks for the fast reply @XP1, works as it should now... BTW. It would have never occurred to me to run it in compatibility mode to force it to system try.
Just sharing what I know. I'm hoping for an official Windows Live Messenger update for Windows 7 soon.
They make an update a couple of weeks ago, but the icon behavior has not changed. I think that this is the default setting and will not be changed. Maybe they could put an option to change the icon placement, or a patcher (like Apatch) could do the trick.
