What is the latest version of windows loader? I downloaded a genuine untouched windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64 ISO and burned it onto DVD. Will Windows Loader work on this? I have a ASUS H81M-PLUS UEFI Motherboard. Will windows loader work on this motherboard? If so how do I get it to work. I bought the above motherboard for a new PC build which I havent build yet. What are the best options/settings do I tick on profile and advanced options displayed on the windows loader program? I bought a zalman case however is there zalman available to select from the computer manufacturer list in the profile tab? Thanks,
current release http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/24901-Windows-Loader-Current-release-information loader does not support UEFI. Your best bet is to boot the pc in legacy without UEFI on an MBR formatted Hard drive to install Win7. Run the loader and you are done. All updates available afterwords. You do not need to find zalman, it will insert a matching key/cert and work. Simply install it and done.
So i have to format the hard drive into MBR first before booting up the DVD mode in legacy mode? But the hard drive i got is a brand new 240gb SSD hard drive that hasnt been used. Does it still needs to be formatted?
Nope, just boot legacy, Setup will do the correct partitioning. (If you get the MBR vs. GPT error, delete any partition on the SSD, in case it came pre-partitioned as GPT and pre-formatted.
Ok I just boot windows 7 dvd in legacy mode and setup will do the rest meaning I do not have to do the following manually as quoted by Daz?: From your BIOS select to boot the Windows DVD without UEFI, go to the repair options, select command prompt and then enter this: diskpart list disk select disk 0 clean convert mbr create partition primary select partition 1 format fs=ntfs quick
You can do either way. The one is graphical user interface and the other command line. As your SSD is empty nothing can go wrong, I guess.
