    Where can I download this?

I have installed 7 N version. I tried to connect to the website but it wont pass validation due to the loader/patch.

Get yourself a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate and use it's functionality to add or remove features like IE8, WMP and such. It's the better way. You do not need fancy Windows 7 N at all.

    Thanks for the link

Yeah I have x64 Ultimate but it would let me install anything
I only downloaded N cause I could not find a ultimate 32 bit at the time

If I download ultimate 32 bit how would I install wmp from the disc onto N? There is no option in add or remove window components to install this on the N version

I do not want to reformat at this time either

Does anyone have a clue why WMP12 is stil nat available for vista? Not that I need it but IE8 was available immediatele and wmp11 was also available for xp right after it's release.

According to me, due to it complexity, WMP 12 still not available for XP. WMP 12 has a great visual enhancement which can't be rendered by DirectX 9.0c anymore. Moreover it has built-in support for playing DVDs, MKV, MP4 etc. file formats. Microsoft has to re write the architecture of WMP in XP from scratch if they want to release WMP 12 for XP. Same is applicable for IE9.

But for Windows Vista, the reason is unknown.... :p
