The above command will retrieve the "Remaining Windows rearm count" but I would like to know the remaining activations of the retail key. Hope the developers from here can help me with it.

    Thanks

There are no use imitations to RETAIL product keys, you are at liberty to install as often as you care to on one system at a time. If the key is used on more than one system, the online activation system will eventually deactivate one or both, or not allow one to be activated as long as the other is. Unless you get a multiple activation RETAIL key that can be used on X amount of systems (heard of these never actually seen or used one). If you do back to back installs with the same key within a given period, the system may still see it in use and not allow it to activate.

To your problem, As far as "invalid" it is either you have the wrong edition installed for that key, or you simply have enter the key wrong. 0 instead of O etc etc

Thanks for the reply and explanation. I thought Unlike VAMT for MAK keys there might be a tool to check the activation counts for the retail key. Just wondering is there any option to find out whether the key is used on more than one PC.

    thanks
