Windows Photo Viewer doesn't launch despite it being the default

    I went to program defaults and ensured that Windows Photo Viewer is the default apps but still when I open any photo, jpg or png it opens with the Photos app

    I don't like that photos app, how to make the Windows Photo Viewer work?

    You went to control panel- default programs- set program for all protocols ?

    Did you look below box to see how may associations are set for it, like Jpeg ?

    Remember " choose defaults for this program " is where you'll see all the formats you want the program to open.

    It says this program has 2 of 2 defaults only. what happened to the rest? :(

    ahh nevermind, now after the reg edit and uninstalling faststone imagie viewer the Windows photo viewer works!!

    a software that screw up windows picture viewing software.. interesting.. :biggrin:
    that software should be running at the background
