windows server 2008 R2 Dns Forwarders issu

    lets say this is my domain server i have created the domain as example.com
    DNS Manager
    Dns Set and forwarders setup one for our firewall gateway, and other two i have added google dns.

    on nslookup
    when i write www example com
    server: unkown
    address: server ip shows.

    *** unKnown can't find www example com : non-existent domain.

    m able to access the domain (www example com) via proxy/openvpn

    what could be the problem?
    any help?

    Well, if he doesn't answer... :)

    That's simple. Because the domain name from the AD (example.com) is the same as the web domain you need to create host a records for www (and anything else) on your local domain controller. The domain controller won't forward dns lookups for his own domain because he is authorative for the domain. If the host record does not exist you will get no ip address back.

    It' a normal setup for Exchange installations (split dns).

    i renamed my AD from example.com to local.example
    and its fixed the issue
