    Dear MDL Members,

    Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent/Std MAK key is available in Dreamspark, you can check the sticky thread and follow the same which was explained in there.

    Note: Server 2008 R2 MAK key will let you activate only one time :( over online and you can do phone activation after that.

    Confirmed!

    2008 R2 Standard & Enterprise single MAK keys.

    Nope, phone activation can be done a few times... unless the key will be literally blacklisted.

    Greats ! i got five keys for R2 and activate my Enterprise R2 with one.

    It says Standard and until they change it again they are MAK_B keys which activates Std/Ent.

    What is a MAK_B keys? Limitations? Does it expires?

    MAK = Windows Vista Business & Enterprise

    MAK_A = Windows Web Server 2008

    MAK_B = Windows Server 2008 Standard & Enterprise

    MAK_C = Windows Server 2008 Datacenter & Windows Server 2008 for Itanium-based Systems

    The Multiple Activation Key (MAK) is used for one-time perpetual activation with Microsoft’s hosted activation services. MAK Independent activation is via phone or online.

    Each MAK has a predetermined number of allowed activations, based on an organization’s volume license agreement.

    Can someone explain how this process works please ? Looked at Dreamspark website, but requires login / pwd....which i don't have.

    Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks !

    It works fine without a proxy (at least from UK)
