windows server 2008 r2 oem iso

    Hi folks

    I apologize if i am breaking any rules here but i am at wits end and desperate.

    i need to rebuild a server for a customer who has an OEM key but no installation media.

    ive searched everywhere but can not find a copy to work with this key. can anybody point me in the direction of somewhere i have not looked?

    alternatively will the OEM key work in an evaluation copy of server 2008?

    any help would be much appriciated

    that wont work with an OEM key though?

    I appreciate the advice although I would prefer to install the OS with the key listed on the box. surely somebody has an OEM copy backed up incase they ever lost the original media.

    thanks mr jinje but there is no ei.cfg file on the ISO's i have

    Just install the retail ISO and put in the OEM key from the sticker. It doesn't care and determines what license channel it is from the key. You can convert between retail, volume and OEM(nonslp) any time you like by just changing the key.

    If you have a Valid OEM key for Server 2008 R2 it can be used with MSDN Server 2008 R2. Hopefully you should be having Server 2008 R2 Std OEM Key. Try it in VM and let us know.

    Heh, nice :D Thanks but Im good for now, I don't have a server up atm, but if I ever need another ISO, I'll keep you in mind ;)
