Yes, it's possible to activate your server and install CALs, but instructions on this are quite hard to find indeed. Server activation: Start the "Activate Server" wizard and follow the instructions to activate your server using the "Web Browser" method. Installing licenses: 1. Start the "Install Licenses" wizard. 2. Go to the displayed URL to install CAL tokens, enter the required information, choose "Select License" as the license type and click Next. 3. Select the license type and quantity, and enter your Microsoft "Select Agreement Number" (or google yourself a number if you've misplaced it somehow). 4. Confirm your information by clicking Next, and paste the displayed license key pack ID into the licensing wizard. TS RemoteApp is really nice
I am interested in extending the 120 day limit as well, I have a couple of remoteapps setup that are really convenient! Didnt have much success finding agreement numbers so far though.
Hmm. OK. I have done the procedure and gotten the license ID key from the website. However, when I try to enter it in, I get an error: The Activate Server Wizard was not able to install the client license key pack. Ensure that the correct information is entered, and then retry this operation. Message Number: 0x13a7 - I am not sure whats up. When I first start the licensing manager, it shows the following settings summary: Activated For: xx Connection Method: Web License Program: License Pack (Retail Purchase) I am not sure what the xx is about. I do ensure that I am using Select licenses and enter a select agreement# in the website ... I wonder if the License Program part indicated as Retail Purchase needs to be changed somehow? I have looked around Licensing Manager, but there is no setting for that , at least that I have seen so far ...
@pdf Huge thank you for your info on this. Must admit I was a bit skeptical as it seemed just a bit easy to get past the licensing. But I'm glad to say i was wrong, it worked perfectly!!! Thanks again.
