I've never seen anything newer that version 2.3 slic for HP. Expect it would need to be dumped from the firmware of an actual HP server machine, not recovered from installation media.
would you share your HP Server 2022 ROK iso. I have an HPE Proliant ML350 Gen11 Server & your ROK would be ideal. Lutschpuppe should be able to help you extract the Slic 2.6.
got to thinking with the slic 2.6 your ROK ISO would still OEM activate. And the ROK ISOs have embedded software specific to the HP server. Also the older ROKs won't work for my server since I added the optional NVMe package. would still be interested pm67310
Count me in @pm67310 Would also appreciate a dump of HP Server 2022 Standard ROK (if you like or can share of course)
Have you ever tried activating that 2022 server using the Dell 2.6 slic bin and certificate? The bin and cert's need to be installed as a matched pair, but do not need to match the actual manufacturer afaik. Still haven't seen 2.6 HP slic and cert anywhere.
Indeed. I don't completely understand the fascination with the HP Server 2022 Standard ROK iso. The HP slp 2.6 bin/cert are not yet available, and the iso by itself would be not be helpful in recovering these. Running oemdump on a preinstalled hp server is the better approach. Maybe someone with an actual HP server machine will be able to do it.
I have an actual HPE Proliant ML350 Gen11 Server. So yes I can install this ISO & run the oemdump tool. NP just need the ISO
Cool. Btw: if the manufacturer provides a slic table in the firmware, the oemdump tool should find and dump it as a bin file, regardless of how the machine is presently activated. (retail, kms, hwid ...)
Wrong when you install an ROK ISO it scans your hardware to make sure you are running an HP server. Once its confirmed then ROK finishes install and OEM activates OS. Has nothing to do with bios firmware. Ran a ROK on an HP gen 8 server without oem-slp & sure enough OEM activated. Not sure if that will help with the bin & certs needed but its worth a try
