Hi, I've built my own server, and now I can't decide what OS to use, I have a Windows Server 2003 & 2008 License (from the dreamspark days :D), but can't decide if I should use Windows or Ubuntu Server, what I want my server to do is host my website using Apache, do some PHP & MySQL work, also to have access remotly, perhaps SSH and/or SFTP. Thanks

Both are oke to use. Although for only websites a lot of people prefer a Linux distro. When using Roaming profiles with Clients, Server and Mail, I like W7 (incl. Office) and W2K8 R2 (and Exchange 2010) better.

If you do have a legimit business just buy M$ Windows or use a free Linux Distro. When just playing around use anything you like ... LOL

That is not an easy question to answer.

It is like "What tastes better - apples or pears"

If you like one use it, if you prefere the other one than use that instead
