Hi all, I have started this thread to try and locate any OEM SLP keys for SBS 2011 Standard. If anyone can locate any of the aforementioned keys, please post them here! Thank you in advance.
Just wanted to add that I am also waiting for the SBS 2011 SLP keys to be released. That's good news about the Dell machines.
Hewlett-Packard slp key ready 644250-251 MS W2011 SBS Std ROK ru SW 644250-B21 MS W2011 SBS Std ROK en SW who buy it ?
Bump. Any new news?! I cant wait until SBS2011 is integrated into Windows Loader. I got really excited when I saw version 2.0.... :/
I'm REALLY needing the OEM SLP key for sbs 2011 standard. Is anyone able to make an educated guess as to when any keys will be released? How long have keys usually taken in the past to be released for Windows operating systems?
SLP keys are right there where they should be - in brand new servers with preinstalled SBS 2011 for quite a few months already, so someone might have purchased such machines by this time. Normally OEMs get their SLP keys long before a new Windows OS is RTM'ed, probably on Beta stage, but as you can imagine OEMs aren't the ones who'd share these keys, these ones are end-users who got access to brand machine or at least brand OEM disk and who are aware of such forums and topics like this and don't mind to share a newly found key... Thus when all of this coincides, we see a new key here and there can't be any rules of when such a coincidence may happen...
Why do you 'REALLY' need a key? Every 2008 based server will work for at least 180 days without activation, patching or loading.
I'm aware that it can be used for at least 180 days, but I would really like to avoid the rearming process and just get the loader installation completed and out of the way so I no longer have to worry about it. (The server is not in my possession)
I'd be very wary about using loaders on systems that you don't have every day contact with, as MSFT could release an update to knock it out at any time. Still as Sebus and Frwil have said loaders work by using SLP keys so there won't be any for a while.
These SBS 2011 OS's dont seem to let me install to a partition on my HD. They seem to be chaza's and want the entire drive. I can't find an option that will allow me to setup a dual boot on the same system drive. Has anyone else found this to be true? My HD is setup with Partition #1 NTFS and Partition #2 unformatted. WF
