    Hi all,

Just new in here and has some questions.

I have a product key for the said version of Windows Server. Can i use this Product Key to convert this evaluation copy:

    care.dlservice.microsoft.com//dl/download/7/5/E/75EC4E54-5B02-42D6-8879-D8D3A25FBEF7/7600.16385.090713-1255_x64fre_server_eval_en-us-GRMSXEVAL_EN_DVD.iso

And also, how can i know if it includes 5, 10 or 25 clt?

    many thanks!

    Hi Prath,

Thank you for the reply. I have a Full Retail Product key. It doesn't indicate the number of CLT included.

Actually I think you can enter the new key, but it will not be supported by MS. I wouldn't want to use it in a production environment. However if you haven't installed it yet, you can convert that ISO from EVAL to Retail with a delta or smartversion patch. The patches will give you a Retail iso with exact sha-1.

    -edit-
Read through this thread and see if one is already made, if not you could request one be created if someone has the retail and eval iso's.

I see. Thanks for this information. (will read the link) However, I don't have our server yet, but I'd be willing to give our 1 unused retail product key if someone would be willing to try it for us:biggrin: or if someone could make it work?

Yeah.. I think that wasn't a bright idea.. but, hey, if you have time and if you could do it, I would gladly have you check and test it. You can even call MS to check the license.

    Hi Prath,

At the moment, we cannot identify how clients are included with our Product Key. I called MS but seems we cannot check how my CLT are included in my license. If someone can check it, that would really be a great help.

And also, can I have a link for the said file that you posted? thanks!

I think i got the download link already. The only thing that i need to be certain of now is the number of CALS it has.

I believe the CALS on Server 2008 R2 are like an honor system. You can set a number to warn you, but really I don't think it matters.
