I am looking for some scripts that were floating around a while ago that replaced the activation files in Windows Ultimate N with just normal Windows Ultimate files. I know this is "frankenbuild" but I can not download much on satellite Internet so this is the best option for me.
I was running them before my format the other day just fine. I don't see what everyones problem with it, it works!
I was running it for close to 2 years without a single problem all I had to do was avoid that 1033 update. I should not have formatted forgot I would need those scripts. Anyway I can't downgrade without a ISO can I? Like I said I can not download anything above 100MB a day.
I tried and got "You can no upgrade Ultimate N to Ultimate N" Also the page says: The version name to be entered must be identical to the version name on the installation DVD. I am guessing that means I need the Pro ISO.
lets be clear on a few points , the scripts ,do work, I have 3 installations still installed via these scripts and they are still fully activated and working fine ,with access to MSupdates etc. yes ,in one sense its a frankenbuild ,but its not like previous frankenbuilds as it does not rely on mixing rtm and beta files .this script uses legit files from a normal (not N) version ,if you look under "system" it shows up as an (N) build ,and microsoft has not touched it so far ,not even the antipiracy updates (WAT)affect it .I would have thought that although microsoft could disable it if they put thier mind on it ,why bother now ,Windows 8 is on the horizon ,windows 7 has already sold more copies (genuine) than any other OS. AND a very limited number of users ever bother with this method . trust me ,Microsoft have bigger fish to fry .
