Whenever I try windows update I am getting this error code - 0x80248007. I tried to rename and delete the "SoftwareDistribution" folder but it shows access denied message. Please help me.

Mostly it's the internet connection when i get that error on one of my testsystems.

To delete the "softwaredistribution" folder you first have to stop the "windowsupdate" service, go to run, type services.msc and stop windows update service, now you should be able to delete the folder, after deleting start the service and the folder will be back.

I delete it by going to safe mode...much easier.
