Windows Update MiniTool is not working in Windows XP, displaying that class is not defined. How can I solve this problem?
Which class is not defined or where is this class not defined? Is it in WUMT or in You PC? What does this message look like? What version/release of Windows Update MiniTool are you using?
To my knowledge, MS has killed Windows Update in XP completely by now. They have stopped SHA1-signing their content, and XP cannot verify SHA2 signatures. Game Over, getting error 0x80244019.
The message says, "Class is not defined, ClassID: {C2E88C2F-6F5B-4AAA-894B-55C847AD3A2D}". I don't know that. Windows XP.
If using wsusscn2.cab, you need to use an older one. Mine is from March, doesn't really matter as nothing new appeared after that date, anyway. Please note that the WUMT version released on 1/72020 supports Windows 10 ONLY. You need the one from 12/20/2016.
WUMT doesn't have anything to do with WSUS Offline Update. The latter doesn't work anymore, as many updates have been removed from the servers. I still suspect the slightly faulty WUMT from this January was used. That one works only on Windows 10 due to a bug, and was pulled. The previous version from December 2016 still works with the wsusscn2.cab.
Interesting. So, it works for me as I already have that WUA version, but if it is missing, it won't be installed by WU self-update, anymore.
