Windows update obsolete files or wu backups delete ?

    hi friends any solution how remove windows update obsolete files or backups on windows 10 ? now i use rs2

    on windows 7 i have used this

    CD\
    CD %Windir%
    CD SoftwareDistribution
    DEL /F /S /Q Download

    and it is working on winodws 10 script also working

    but when i go to disc cleaner i see still windows update backups components... or another windows update ... to delete

    Disk cleanup > Clean up system files

    And "Run as Administrator" to get all possible choices.

    lol i know use disc cleaner i ask why these stupid backups is still there even i use this script file for delete ?

    Irrespective of what you now say you know, what you asked for in your OP was:
    It would further make little sense trying to use a script when you knew there’s a ready tool on board and insist on the script when it didn’t work.

    Try this from an elevated cmd:
    dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

    This is done automatically each month by the task scheduler.

    Anyway if you want to really clean all the old backups you must use the resetbase option then you loose the chanche to roolback any previously applied update, but you will free a lot o space, possibly 2/3GB (you will see the real amount only after a reboot)
