There are 2 important updates available and 34 optional updates via windows update. Has anyone installed these yet without issues? Plz let me know. thx
What do you exactly mean with the critical update, that is requiered for the following? Thread starter: If you have Office 2007 installed, do NOT INSTALL THE OGA UDATE, when it is listed!!!
Sorry but I don't understand what you are trying to say. Is anyone downloading the 2 important ones? I assume the non-critical ones are the language packs which I do not need. Plz let me know about the important ones. thx
I do have MS office 2007 installed. May I ask why I shouldn't install what you are saying. PM me if you need to. I would appreciate it. thx
Because if you are pirated Office 2007, OGA will catch it. even some MSDN are called non geniune on accident And I have downloaded installed the 2 critical (one i can no remember), and other is windows defender. Still activated. Did no try IE8 compatibility optional. But is for IE6 and IE7 compatibility (not for catch the pirated version). But then again, you are guy who called us stupid for not liking the new taskbar. Maybe I should no be help you.
Hard to translate, try learn chinese to make easier on me. But I remember when one time with Vista, I installed and it and said I can only be get one update aka "WGA update". But right after I run that update, I recheck and find many updates. (not showing until after WGA was pass). Thus force all pirated and non-pirated version to install WGA update.
The update I am talking about is "Update for Internet Explorer 8 Compatibility View List for Windows 7 (KB973874)" Should this update be installed? Has anyone installed it without issues? thx
look at the optional ones. they are probably all language things plus some other randoms like office genuine, ie8 compatibility, so not needed. what are the important ones?
I've installed *all* the updates that have been offered via windowsupdate so far, with the exception of the 30+ language packs. None of them have been of any great significance: routine defender updates, IE compatablity view updates; that sort of thing. If you have got office, and selected to obtain updates for this also, then beware of the new Office Genuine Validation tool which started rolling out to some new regions yesterday. There has been a report of a false positive against a legit MSDN install, but that may be a one-of. BTW: a great improvement over vista: You can now bulk-select updates you want to hide, like the language packs. No more r-click, hide, r-click, hide, etc 35 times! -- SC
strange I have the same updates but when i want to look them ( 34 optional and 2 important updates) the list it 's blank. thx.
