ok so here goes. I have a Packard bell bv easynote mh36 laptop that came pre installed with Vista home basic

the problem was the HDD packed up, so I bought a new HDD installed it and ran install vista

but when I try to activate it it says error code 0xc004e003

    my product id is OEM-7332166-00190

now im not sure if theres a tool that I need to reinstall certificates and alike

any help in trying to activate this would be appreciated

    thanks

Try using MTK to run phone activation

Phone activation should work fine, is it a fresh install of a genuine copy?

Slightly wrong; only XP. From Vista, things are changed.
