Hello Everyone, I am helping a friend by installing a new hard drive in her computer. I am looking for the best way to install windows vista home premium x64 on it using her activation code located on the side of her hp machine. The computer did not come with an installation disk it only has a recovery partition on the old drive. Is there any way to reinstall the version of windows that came with the computer or is she forced to purchase a new os? Thanks Edit: Sorry I posted this in the wrong area. Could a mod move this to the vista section?
Thanks for the reply. I ended up finding a Vista ISO and made a bootable USB. I am currently finishing up windows updates. Glad I found this forum lots of great information here.
