    I have tested the links for the 'Windows Vista with Service Pack 2 (x64) - DVD (English)' version and the links are all valid, so can you explain a little more as to why they do not work for you.

    download the vista ultimate 64 bit!!

    next you have to edit the image, where you delete the ei.cfg!!

    After this you can decide which version you want to install.

    you´re right, there is no ei.cfg
    i thought i downloaded only the ultimate verion, but i was wrong

    wrong there is no ei.cfg file on vista dvd's just windows 7.

    I thought the vista dvd's contain all the versions. I remember during setup you could even select home, business, or ultimate if you had an ultimate disc.

    Untouched one's do contain all versions.

    Vista D/L link question

    Hi to all. Please anyone tell me the download link for Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Retail (Eng) Edition. I need only the base edition and not slip-streamed with SP1 or SP2.

    What do you want to see in Vista SP1?
    As the title say What do you want to see in Vista SP1?
    Me I want it to not matter(in gaming) if you have UAC on or off & an easier way to turn off Aero.

    Thank you for reading my post
    My T400 come with Windows vista home basic edition and I want to install Vista ultimate edition on it.
    Can someone let me know steps to do this installation?
    Where I should get drivers for vista 64 bit, any specific taks to do before cleaning the T400 hard disk for vista T400 installation.

    You should try your manufacturers sit for x64 drivers or try Driver Magician or driver genius they can identify drivers on your machine and download drivers for x86 or x64 then read stickies on how to make oem dvd.
