I got this error message when I tried to install Windows 7 on my HP 255 G1 Windows 8 laptop.

I used the commands in Daz' ReadMe file to convert to MBR.

Legacy Mode is enabled and Secure Boot disabled.

You could be booting the install DVD in UEFI mode. If so, uefi mode only.
What if you press HP hot key for boot menu & manually select booting optical as mbr mode...

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

That's too late already. You must press the key giving you the boot menu of the BIOS/UEFI where you can override the boot sequence. The optical drive should be present two times - once normal and once with an [UEFI] tag. Choose the one without the tag.

Yes, Carlos is correct. I meant the bios boot menu, not the boot menu of the OS.
I think for HP it might be F10 Key...
