Is it possible to install Windows XP on a USB stick? I have already tested many things, so far without success.
I need it rather seldom and therefore does not want to install it on an HDD.
Someone knows a council for me.

With Rufus but I can only write the installation CD on the stick, so from there then Windows XP on an HDD install.

My intention is, however, to write the XP installation on the USB stick, so that then a running Windows XP version is on the stick.

I have an older program that is only running on Windows XP. The serial interface of the PC is also required.
As I said, I only need it occasionally.
