Could you post hashes? I only have the following and it looks modified (Autosign missing?). Code: File: Windows_XP_Starter_Edition_SP3.iso CRC-32: ee689a97 MD4: 086ad7b144ddbb05344d760399b8aefc MD5: 7c29fd34dbfec5fdcec7edb506aa7d2c SHA-1: f74491fdfaeb82f81f05bf2bb887877619d3fb7c
I have this one with SP3. Code: Filename: en_windows_xp_starter.iso Size: 568 MB MD5: 7C29FD34DBFEC5FDCEC7EDB506AA7D2C SHA-1: F74491FDFAEB82F81F05BF2BB887877619D3FB7C CRC-32: EE689A97 Place on my computer: D:\Windows Collection\Windows XP\Windows XP Starter
Of course, but not an official ISO from MS. The official ones might be with only SP2, exactly like the MCE2005 ones. Btw. it's hard to use this in a VM, it continually evaluates hardware specifics, and if they exceed the license will shutdown with error 5.
Ref Post#71; THIS File: V2ACOEM_EN.ISO Size: 557.50 MB (584,583,168 bytes) CRC: FFFFFFFF MD5: 85A6C07D5478C937C473718077BE41D7 SHA1: 90DDFD752FB0BA75577D3159632AD730E2D43FA3 IS ref; hxxp://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/5459-Windows-XP-Starter-Edition?p=312237&viewfull=1#post312237 stated by sebus; "iso got created from real legal CD, but with some software that does NOT create true iso, hence the different hash"... "Mount this iso"[XP Starter Edition SP2 real legal CD]"with Slysoft VirtualCloneDrive & save the track again as iso with Nero" [, and you would find that the] "Created iso gives exactly the values"[for 557.50 MB above]. NOTE: Above does not necessarily suggest that a piece of software is faulty, but rather that certain softwares, when used in combination, can operate upon the original file with the effect that the resulting (originally correct)ISO has an apparently incorrect hash value.
So, we still need someone with actual disc to confirm that the SHA1: F41845AFD5728BF2722DE494DFC4A9325B36C3CD iso is definately correct Windows XP Starter Edition SP2 files and hash values. See several posts further down. The iso with the SHA1: 8E7A958978A51AE989CF750B9FF532F9A05581FB is allegedly Windows XP Starter Edition (x86).iso but is not found elsewhere via google(!) and if I understand sebus et al comments correctly, the SHA1: 90DDFD752FB0BA75577D3159632AD730E2D43FA3 iso has correct Windows XP Starter Edition SP2 files but iso has incorrect hash values due to being incorrectly generated by some programs... and the iso with the SHA1: F74491FDFAEB82F81F05BF2BB887877619D3FB7C is probably homebrew en_Windows.XP.Starter.Edition.SP3-V3ACOEM.EN (although elsewhere it is oft seen alleged to be MS OEM SP3...)
So now we understand (from Oz); "90DDFD752FB0BA75577D3159632AD730E2D43FA3 is correct, it is the same as F41845AFD5728BF2722DE494DFC4A9325B36C3CD just with [when C3CD 's] padding is removed." "You can open the ...C3CD in a hex editor and remove all after AutoCRC at the end, and [then] you [will be able to generate a] get the right SHA1"[for this file, of 90DDFD752FB0BA75577D3159632AD730E2D43FA3 ]. =========== And taking into account the above, now we have; SHA1: F41845AFD5728BF2722DE494DFC4A9325B36C3CD iso has same files as 3FA3 below, but C3CD iso has different hash values, due to C3CD iso being incorrectly produced by some programs -'padding' . SHA1: 8E7A958978A51AE989CF750B9FF532F9A05581FB iso is allegedly Windows XP Starter Edition (x86).iso but is not found elsewhere via google(!) SHA1: 90DDFD752FB0BA75577D3159632AD730E2D43FA3 iso has Windows XP Starter Edition SP2 files? ( correct?-Seniors/Experts pls comment) SHA1: F74491FDFAEB82F81F05BF2BB887877619D3FB7C is probably homebrew en_Windows.XP.Starter.Edition.SP3-V3ACOEM.EN (although elsewhere it is seen alleged to be a MS made SP3...)
Someone can make SVF for: en_windows_xp_starter.iso --> V2ACOEM_EN.iso F74491FDFAEB82F81F05BF2BB887877619D3FB7C --> F41845AFD5728BF2722DE494DFC4A9325B36C3CD ? Thanks.
