    Can anyone provide me some working Windows XP Home Edition keys? It is retail, I have the installation disc but I lost the serial.

    PS: I like Home edition most. Please do not suggest Pro!

    Thanks for your time!

    Asking for activation keys is not allowed on MDL.

    @justregister14

    • If the source is latest SP3 integrated one, then you can skip the serial prompt.
    • Opt for OEM:SLP activation - read the stickies.
    • Why Home? Just curious.

    Lots of PCs have Pro, that's what I mean!

    Anyways, sorry for asking. Didn't know you weren't allowed to ask!
    Have a beautiful day :)

    If you follow @Tito 's advice in post #3, you don't HAVE to ask. OEM SLP 1.0 activation uses special keys that are generic and thus public. Just read the Stickies. It works.

    I have just tried to install windows xp in a virtual machine only to find it will not activate. Using telephone option it says "The operating system is no longer supported". I have successfully installed Windows XP Pro and activated it however Home Edition will not activate anymore, strange

    Since OEM SLP 1.0 is offline activation, it still works.

    SINCE I CAN'T FIND A """START A NEW THREAD BUTTON""""" ANYWHERE

    my question is similar, I have a dell xp that is on its fifth owner, ME....... I have no proof of owner ship, other then 60 year olds don't risk jail for a computer.its on its last leg, have used it for 8 years, cleaning does not help, maybe drive is burning down, don't really care what it is, just wanna play vids, etcs , I really don't wanna become another lost life to computers, don't want anything new
    just want to drop a new drive in and renew this program from fresh
    is there anyway to wipe machine, put in new hard drive in and re program it.

    THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH

    MODS FEEL FREE TO MOVE THIS TO A NEW THREAD POST IF YOU CAN

    @Perfer The Outdoors

    There's a round button at the bottom right side of the screen in every sub-forum; click on that to create new thread.

    On the other hand, can you please elaborate what's the actual model of your PC? It would be better to switch to Windows 7 instead of XP.
