So why did you doublepost it instead of posting in that thread?

It is for VMWare. Virtual PC does not require a special loader

One can I say?, it works nicely with XP in Workstation 7.1.2. Thanks

(but what is different between this & the earlier mentioned VPC one? - both use grldr)

Now we need to test Virtualbox & Parallels Desktop to check if the same approach can be used

In WMware one needs modified boot loader in order to use the "write" command to write SLP strings. In VPC there is no such requirement.
As I stated in the INSTALL the loader is for VMware (actually it will work with VPC and any 440BX based real motherboard. Only the SLP location in menu.lst has to be adjusted.

So is the grldr actually modified for VMware?

Care to provide source in this case (especially the patch part?)?

    Here it is:

    h**p://www[dot]4shared[dot]com/file/9Uh-1nFw/xploader_patchtar.html
    Enjoy!

I'd like also to put the attention of the people to the following thread:

    h**p://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/14360-grldr-source-code/page2?highlight=windows+loader+source

and kindly remind all coders who are developing or did developed their loaders using GPL software (like grub, grub4dos or grub2) and refusing to
to publish the source code or at least the patches after they made their software public, that they are violating the GPL. Excuses like "I have put a lot of effort developing ..." or "The code is very complex and the people can not understand it ..." are outside of the scope of GPL.

A new major revision is here:
    h**p://www[dot]4shared[dot]com/file/MxLpG-pH/winxploader-v03.html

It features: more control over SLP string injection, security enhancements, full integration in grub4dos as an extension.

It appears that 4shared reports that the file link is no longer available. I would like to activate Dell XP Pro SP3 on Oracle's VirtualBox v4.x

    Hi sebus...!

I kown it's a bit "late" (Year 2015!), but could it be possible to find this loader ANYWHERE...? That last link you left is EXPIRED, by Date Limit most probably, and can't seem to find it anywhere on the Net (not Regular Search, nor in Torrents).

My need right now (and soo late), is to be able to Activate a 1st Time Install of WinXP Tablet PC Edition 2005, in an Ultra-Mobile P.C. that originally came with WinVista (and sucked BIG TIME with it and just 1 GiB. R.A.M., by the way). I always used our own VLK for XP "Corporate" installs, but this is not possible here.

By the way: As you surely may know, Microsoft completely abandoned ANY type of support for these Operating Systems, so downgrading a Legitimate (and working) WinVista C.D. Key into an XP one (as guaranteed by M.S. License) is no longer possible.

    Many thanks...!

I don't "need" any XP iso (updated, activated, etc.) or loaders. But I snag them all the same. :)
