    Hi All,

    Is it possible to run XP Mode from real HDD?

    I tried copy all the contents of xp mode vhd to one of my partition, and boot it. But blue screen comes up before windows loading. Safe mode also didn't work.

    I really confused, help me!!

    Damn, i tried anything possible. Booting from the VHD directly also didnt work :mad:

    I think we need patch the bios to match with slp?

    SLP has nothing to do with it if it worked with SLP that would mean people with none slp computers would not be able to run XP Mode.

    Ofcourse Win XP XP Mode is licenced in the very SAME way as any other XP, it does use SLP 1.0

    The string is Microsoft-B4FFCA38

    [OEMBIOS]
    BIOS=F000,908A,,Windows_Virtual_XP_F9161D8E7FCC11DDBFAA369856D89593

    That string is invluded in vpc on Windows 7, it is added in VMLite, being added in vMware Workstation when used with XPMode=true

    But BSoD must be related to something else, but I really have no more time to test it

    SLP string has NOTHING to do with BSoD! so leave it out of the troubleshooting
