CLEAN, AND UNTOUCHED WinXP x86 & x64 ISOs Hmmm.... it seem the starter Thread had been "BANNED"... Anyone got and care to upload @ the Hot Files?.... me looking for "WINDOWS.XP.PRO.SP3.32-BIT.(X86).RETAIL" (CLEAN, AND UNTOUCHED ISOs)
What is the SHA1 for WINDOWS.XP.PRO.SP2.64-BIT(X64).RETAIL? I searched and unable to find. Hopefully someone could tell me so that I can verify it. 1 more question. after I download that, then I shall followed the instruction in this thread How To: Create PRO OEM SLP CD (Under Source 2 and follow the steps given and change the key to x64 in WINNT.SIF)? Am I doing the correct way? Regards and Thanks.
Okay thanks for replying guys, so after I installed... What method should I approach to activate my Windows XP Pro SP2 x64 Retail? Guide me along, I'm quite uncertain about this. Regards & Thanks.
Hey guys! I have had a IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with Windows Vista for the past 3 years, and I recently decided to wipe it clean and put in the restore disk and start fresh. However soon after, I came upon this site and such. I checked my OEMBIOS and it matches with the Lenovo Bios for XP 32 Bit on the first post. So I downloaded that ISO, burned it, and tried to boot from CD on my laptop. However, when it is "loading files" and such, before it gets to the screen where you choose which drive/partition to install it on, it gives me an error, that no hard drive was found, this makes NO SENSE since I have Vista installed and running on my hard drive already. Can anyone please guide me here? I really want to get rid of Vista and go back to the good old XP SP3.
My guess is that you have a SATA hard drive. Windows XP does not have SATA drivers on the CD. You can either download the drivers and load them manually by pressing F6 at the beginning of the install: http :// www-307. ibm.com/ pc/ support/ site.wss/ document.do ?lndocid =MIGR-70477 (url is mangled due to posting restrictions) or go into the bios setup and see if you can configure the hard drive controller to use IDE emulation mode. Another option is to download the .iso from the "Multi OEM Windows XP Pro with OEMScan" thread. It has the drivers included and should work with your computer.
