    urrrrrrrrrrr. Wellllll....urrrrrrrr.

I am no expert and I do not confess in being one so this is just my opinion.

I personally now a days do not bother with any PC that has owt less than LGA 775. I had a very nice Abit AW9D LGA 775 with a dual core CPU in and 4 gig of RAM. This was more than capable of running Win 7 and ran XP very well indeed.
I was asked to look at an old AMD Socket A PC. Was running like a bag of spanners.
The person was in desperate need of a PC so I built her a nice LGA 1155 with a dual core Pentium chip with 2 gig of RAM. Installed Win 7 onto it and she was happy as Larry.

For me XP is just for messing with really. I would forget all about XP as a main OS in these modern times with modern software.
If your hardware is old I would suggest upgrading. LGA 1155 can be picked up cheap. But the latest Z97 on LGA 1150 is the way to go if spending a decent amount.

This is just my opinion though.

XP is roughly 14 years old.

What else do you have that is that old and you still cling to it.

    Forget it and move on.

If this is just a mess about with PC, like just for running KeyGens and the like to open up software, as long as it runs well XP will be ok.

Never did like AMD. Ditch it and go Intel. Get yourself an Asus Sabertooth Z77. Lovely board. I bet £120 could buy you one. For £150 i bet you could get one with a, lets think. Ohh yes you could have a Sandybridge i3 2120 3.2 installed in it. But would take the best Ivybridge i7 4770k for sure.

I wonder who could sort you out with one of those.;)
