    [OENSCAN simply for ECS:]

    [BIOSLOCKFUNCTION ELITEGROUP]
    RANGE="0xF0000:FFFF"
    CMD="ECS.CMD"

    [ECS.CMD:]

    @echo off
    imagex /apply ECS.WIM 1 %SystemRoot%\system32
    regedit /s oem.reg
    pause

    Rather simple...Hope it works...

    If we could get a copy of the pidgen.dll and dpcdll.dll files from starter, that would be nice also.

    Unfortunately, to my best knowledge, XP Starter is COEM. Similar to XP MCE/XP TPC/Windows Home Server 2003

    (CMPNENTS\STARTER\I386\STARTOC.CAB, 22272KB)

    That's why I made this little program for him trying to substitute dpcdll.dll and pidgen.dll with OEM_SLP Channel ones

    That is what my tool does..It will sub both with OEM, or use user placed ones..

    I would like to have a copy to play with...

    i have tried ecsscan.exe, it's showing my ecs string
    i have tried inserting home Keysets, but it's not installing starter edition but it's installing home instead
    i have tried editing starter pidgen.dll and dpcdll.dll with hex editor but have no luck
