Maybe to late now that you have screwed around with registry and wpa, first thing is go to oembios files sticky and download oembios.exe run that to see if you have a manufacturer SLP 1.0 string in your DMI area, if you have download apropriate oembios files that match crc given from the links oembios files sticky. after that use VLK and OEMBIOS changerr from stickies. If you do not have a branded machine or don't have SLP1.0 download HP DMI boot cd from stickies and use that to tattoo you DMI area, then download HP oembios files and use VLK and OEMBIOS changer.
Hey urie, thanks for your quick reply, I've downloaded the oembios.exe like you suggested and this is what I get : worldwideweb.i54.tinypic.com/14960b4.jpg ooh yeah I still got the original wpa.bak, wpa.dbl and wpabaln files.
oembios changer with asus set (Genuine is because you have Intel processor, Hitachi because of the hard drive) Use Asus as it is a srting from BIOS sebus
hehe, not to be smug but.... out of date cracks get you out of date OS..These "workarounds" didn't work well years ago, let alone now.. Download the OEMBIOS changer like Urie says, and use the tools in the pack..STAY AWAY from the antiwpa stuff until you have tried legit activation. You did back the reg up before changing it with this "stuff", right??? Jus treplace the reg changes and use the owmbios changer tools...This should not be very difficult and will then be a painless relationship for you for many moons to come...use the changer for any reinstalls or repais, unless you manage a ASUS AOEM CD creation or download from the threads here.... Good luck and I would suggest some good reading here... -peace
If you are like me and have a licence key , but you don't know what type it is (retail, OEM. Volume etc) Then i used this great app that can tell you what Type your licence key is and the vendor that issued it (Dell, samsung, HP etc) go here The Ultimate PID Checker janek2012.eu Download ir (RAR) use 7zip (Free download to unpack it) It runs without Installing (portable) For me I confirmed it was an OEM licence -- Dell --- so run Any Dell OEM disk to repair (Same OS disk)
For your information ultimate pid checker was developed here on this forum. It can be found in MDL projects and applications section.
