What would a ultimate/end-all XP image look like, something like this? No bloatware or other programs, just plain old XP.
    • XP Professional SP3 VLK from here
    • Fully updated with OnePiece's post-SP3 and POSReady updates
    • Remove obsolete components (which ones?)
    • Remove unnecessary drivers such as the RAID or SCSI controllers
    • Anything i'm missing?

I captured my xp sp3 n edition in vm in 2020 january into wim that can be deployed in winpe. Deployment takes about 2 minutes. It is is hal independent, embedded registry filter and ewf, fbwf fully backported, pos2009 updates installed (with filter updates). Certs updated (2020 jan), Flash removed, ie uninstalled but not removed. No media player or codec vulnerabilities. I built it to run as vm, but it has latest imsm too (no irst). Last Chrome v49 enterprise msi installed. Generalize sysprepped with volume license key. That is my baby ultimate xp. I will do this with posready7/enterprise7n also after eol. I used only my scripts and it has never seen 3rd party tools such as nlite.

I made my own image not long ago with the OnePiece packs, and also deleted a s**tload of obsolete/unneeded stuff with nLite.

    How did you kill Flash?

Same way as I do, but I don't have it automated and do it after installing XP.

    Hi.
Better way is to use WES2009. There are over 15000 components.
Windows have approx 1100 and the rest is bloatware.
From 1100 components some are obsolete, also, some infs need to be tweaked.
You need to add patched files to support ahci, acpi, nvme, usb 3.0, usb boot&install, boot from wim and other features.
It can be done but require a lot of work.
