Hi, windows xp 64 is pre-activated or do i have to put a serial number while installation? If yes, then please provide a serial number. This is my first post on this forum and i dont know actually where to find actual serials
I am sorry, but how do i get the oemslp key ....? Thanks in advance. Also from the 5 ISO i get, all ISO are the x64 windows xp or they are different versions? Please guide.
Here is a backup of the x64 deltas. Don't forget to thank OZ by using the Thanks button on his first post.
Actually, I'm dual booting XP Pro x64 & Win 7 Pro x64 nicely. I got the XP x64 OS install disc (and quite a few more) when I was a TechNet member. However, last year when they cut our install keys down from 10 to 5 w/no notice, I was pissed. Anyway, XP Pro x64 runs nicely on my desktop, all that I had to do was go into the BIOS & switch from ACHI to IDE, it installed like a charm. Being that I don't have a RAID setup or SSD, I see no difference in speed to run in IDE mode. There is a way, using nLite, to integrate the necessary SATA drivers, but they were hard to find for me. However, I did use nLite to integrate SP2 (there's no SP3 for XP x64) into the install disc (just as I installed SP4 into W2K). nLite works well, if you can find the necessary drivers. As far as finding my drivers went after the install, I used Device Doctor, a totally free driver finder. It found a critical VGA compatible driver that I needed to move forward. Good Luck to those who needs 64 bit XP! It's not as bad as many says. A few programs won't work (like MSE & Windows Live products), but I don't need them anyway. I pay for my internet security. Plus, no WGA to bite you unexpectedly. Cat
XP x64 download link doesn't work. Anyone know how I might be able to get the iso downloaded (preferably with SP2)? Never Mind, --- Problem Solved.
I just tried to create the dell xp x64 sp2 iso from the delta file and the img link form Microsoft located in this topic. However it gives me an error "xdelta3: target window checksum mismatch: XD3_INVALID_INPUT" I have redownloaded both the delta and the img file but end up with the same error. Here is the command I am trying to run with the delta. "xdelta3 -d -s X13-05825.img DELL_X64_X64_SP2.DELTA dell_xp_x64_sp2_en.iso" Am I just totally blind to see why it is not working? Thank you.
