Why not abort the shutdown ?

    Code:
    SHUTDOWN /A

Check your PSU, RAM, CPU temps. Mostly likely faulty hardware is causing this.

What do the event logs say specifically? Were there errors?

The best way to troubleshoot is looking at the logs, the thing is though that if you just format the problem can come back. I'm not saying it will, but just blindly formatting a system without a root cause to a problem isn't a good idea.

I mean the problem is when I want to shut down PC and then the PC shuting down in 4-5 minutes '..

I have installed advanced system optimizer 3 and that software made the problem,i think..now I formatted the laptop and everything is OK rightnow

I think I can safely answer what caused your 3-4 minute shutdown issue:

You installed Advanced System Optimizer 3, updated it, then had it run it's series of scans, correct?

If you look under "System and Security", then the "Memory" tab, there is a checkbox for "Clear PageFile (Swapfile) on Shutdown".

If your PageFile is more than 1gig or so, or of you have a slower Hard Drive, then I can see that option causing your problem. This setting is literally erasing every byte inside your Pagefile for security, and while admirable, if performance is your #1 concern, then this option is not for you. I tested it myself and my shutdowns took a little over 3 minutes, with a 6gig Pagefile.

It also recommended that I enable UAC Nag Screens again, for security. I declined that option as well. Having to manually confirm my desire to breathe, in the name of security, is more than I can stand. :p:rolleyes:

Short version: ASO3 = ok , "Clear PageFile (Swapfile) on Shutdown" = NOT ok. :)

Thanks for your information. I have 4 gigs of ram and disabled the swapfile in System and the Security\Memory tab under control panel. Also, in the control panel section under Admin Tools\Settings\Local Policies\Security options, i disabled the Shutdown: clear virtual memory pagefile. I really don't know, becose of the security, if that's a smart choice but it works bycose of the shutdown/reboot waiting problem with Advanced System Optimizer 3.
