Any worth while VPN's as of 2023 that are better then windscribe but have the same features?

Basically I purchased a lifetime pro subscription for $69 in 2019. As of today I noticed my unlimited was reduced to a 1gb non-pro plan. Even my 50gb of unlimited I earned back in 2017 through their old bitcoin mining account was gone. After contacting them I was to their so called lifetime plans are only 5 years long and that I should be great-full. I am also told their new pro life time plan is $1000.

What good is a life long account if it is under 5 years? I understand they may now be struggling to keep prices down but do not make promises or contracts you can not keep. Sorry about the rant I do not know what to do money is not the issue but I think morally i was basically spit on.

Lifetime subs won't work since there will be lots of competition in the future and companies will have to change their billing way. So don't ever start with them go with something reliable like adguard vpn or nord vpn etc. if you use free you are the product.

    Thank you for the suggestions.

I am unfamiliar with adguard vpn I will check them out. I am not looking for a free product but I want a product backed up by a trust worthy/honest company that does not lie to make a quick sale.

Nord Vpn i do not trust some of their data bases were in unencrypted format.

There is a great deal of overhead associated with running a VPN service. You have to maintain servers in many different locations around the world, and pay for large amounts of internet access for every server. There is no way that you can pay a small sum of money and expect "lifetime" service, that just isn't going to work. The company has to have a regular income stream to pay for all of those servers.

I bought a lifetime version in 2016 and is still being used daily. At the time I bought it there was word around the net that after 10 years you got in touch with Windscribe and they would give you another 10 years. Wether this is true or not I guess I will find out in 3 years time!

Go check Proton VPN. It is based in Switzerland, so not 5 eyes nor 14 eyes alliance related. Full featured, easy to setup.
