    Nice and simple.
    Does it also shred deleted files? Cause deleted files can easily be recovered.
    Why is there a 2GB limit btw? If it's a limit of AES, can't you cut the file in to 2GB chunks, encrypt them all and past them together in the encrypted file?

    Actually (WinFile Encrypter Pro v1.0) works with net v2.50727;

    Of course it will run using NET 3.5 SP1 (because of the updates included) :D

    But this could change to version Net4?

    Net v3.5 SP1 (230 MB) ~> Net v4 (40MB) :eek:

    Note: Your application will get the smaller size;

    It doesn't really matter as .net 3.5 is included in Win7 already. Maybe there are some performance optimizations, but I doubt that such a small programs as these can gain much from that.

    Easier to use the tool in other systems that do not have 3.5 included:
    Windows XP, Vista, 2003, others

    (Do you prefer a download of 230 mb or 40 mb?) :biggrin5:

    Nope, .NET is an Assembly based language, framework change not will have any difference in the EXE size :D

    At the moment my AES256 limit is 2GB, i may plan to expand this in future release.
    Shred deleting files i have a class for this but shredding large files can take a while, so not really planning on adding that function, i may make a shred delete tool tho :D

    EDIT: Dropped MD5 idea.

    I see... yeah, I didn't get that from the post. But why encrypt hashes?

    Just to hash the data and encrypt along with file.
