    Similar problem

    Hi,

I'm also having the same problem, after added Dell SLP and Dell SLIC2.1. Windows Vista and XP both activated fine, but now I can't reflash the BIOS again with either winflash or awdflash (under WIN98 DOS mode on a bootable USB drive). Winflash says "Onboard Bios Not Award BIOS" and awdflash just hangs after inputting the BIOS name. If I apply the usual awdflash switches in a batch file, then it just give me a blank screen. Fortunately I can reboot the computer and it's still working fine. I now can't test other SLP/SLIC.

Is there any other way to force flash with either winflash or awdflash?

This is really confusing in one moment you say you have flashed the bios and XP and Vista activates so what is the problem anyway never flash from windows if you can help it as reguards to switches for awdflash try awdflash.exe /? you will get switches. As try force flash try /f:D

Try right click on winflash and "run as administrator".
