I just ordered a new H67 MB and i2500. Don't know that I can set drives separately for ACHI/IDE.

Will Windows XP install on an ACHI drive without an F6 floppy? These new sandy bridge boards are coming without floppy ports.

Yes, the AHCI problem during setup only occurred with SP1 and before. With a proper XP SP3 install disk it should be fine, as the Microsoft generic AHCI drivers are run during setup regardless. Set AHCI in the bios before installing Windows, it saves the hassle of registry editing after :)
