Hi, I've been trying to read to figure this out but still not sure.

Can I dual boot WinXP and Win7 on same BIOS?

I think XP needs SLP string and Win7 needs SLIC string.

The system is old Dell Dimension 8300, does that mean it already has a good DELL SLP string for XP activation?

I found SLIC BIOS for Dimension 8300 already modded in request forum:

Will this BIOS be good also for XP activation? I only activated Win7 before, never XP. XP needs OEMBIOS patch?

My XP CD asks for key before installing, is there better XP CD to download?

If anyone can help I really appreciate :)

Should work fine but im not sure..

You can always try insert OEM:SLP key and see if it activates..

It should be fine. Yes you will need extra stuff for XP like what Urie said but on my desktop I have a modded bios and I have windows 7 and windows xp installed on it. Yes XP is activated via legit VLK but you can activate both XP and 7 on the same modded bios dude.
