Windows 8 software is almost non-existent any more. But the problem persists if you buy a Windows 8.1 you can find Pro upgrade but you can no longer find Pro upgrade with Media Center. So my question, the WMC hack for Windows 10 is great, so, can or will the WMC hack for 10 ever be available for 8.1 or 8? if so great, if not, why not?

Sure but then you have to deal with KMS activation, unless you have already a legit WMC licence (which not seem OP'´s case). With the WMC10 pack you can use your legit PRO/Home/Embedded/Server key, which to me seem a better option
No. The token is meant to install from scratch a W8.1 Wmc, owning only the legit wmc upgrade key but not the legit w8.1 key.
I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing. I meant a new install, for the wmc version i always use a 8.1 wmc key i found somewhere on the net (probably from one of murphy78's 8.1 aio iso posts on tpb/kat). It's not for activating but just for skipping the key question combined with a kms emulation solution. What i saw was murphy78 later posted something like, "I've put the tokens from pro in it so you can use pro keys to activate". Maybe i'll ask him after i've asked for more messaging space What online also always worked was using that same key to upgrade from core/pro to wmc. KMS solution is needed to activate.
All what you need to have a W8.1 WMC installed is A standard WMC iso and a generic Key, then activate it with KMS. The token makes sense to activate it with a legit WMC UPGRADE key.
A standard wmc iso is a multiple editions offline upgraded to prowmc, that's what i said in my first comment (afaik they were not sold as wmc iso). The OP doesn't bother to clear up if it's about kms or legit use. The part about the tokens was just something i thought could be helpfull (if i understood murphy78's postinfo wright).
Thanks for all the replies, it is TMI (To Much Info), getting lost with all the different responses Here is what I have; i already have a laptop that had 8.1 installed and updated with and 8.1 Pro with Media Center Pack (I purchased and still have) I have a second laptop with window 8.1 so I can use the Window 10 WMC provided here on the 8.1 machine? or does the 8.1 machine have to be upgraded to Pro and then install the hack? then would I have to activate it with the Pro WMC Pack key?? I am just confused as to what everyone is saying, with all of the different methods (over my head) I could just upgrade the 8.1 machine to Windows 10, but I just don't want to upgrade. I have little respect for Windows 10 and much prefer to keep 8.1 and use that appreciate all responses
@KarterJK For optimum stability, it would be better to upgrade your 8.1 Pro to 8.1 ProWMC using the generic -JK7QT key & then install the GVLK (-J8D3P) & use any KMS emulator to activate.
