I'm not sure I understand; how does deleting the Media Center database fix problems with Media Player (which loads album pics from each folder that the music files are located in rather than a central db)?
hiddenfolder C:\Users\bert mace\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player this the place it is mce and wmp stores it their
media center is just a shell of media player and both programs use the same db and it stores all the album art and library information in the same folder. the album artwork in the folder with the actual music files is folder the pretty folder crap and so wmp and mc can get the lil thumbnail images to put them in the art cache folder look at the pics lol
Didn't you say this fixes the folder.jpg-downscaling problem? So if you use that tool WMP and WMC dont change the folder.jpg inside every album... Is that true or not? Because of your explanations I think this tool only deletes the database, so that you can start everything from scratch, but this has nothing to do with the folder.jpg inside every album
to change to hi-res jpg you replace the one in the folder with the album with new one run tool and you will see new one not old wmp and mce album art is store in two places not one C:\Users\Bert Mace\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache take a look and you will see two places you need to unhide your folder in controll panel first to see it
Okay, do I understand it correct?: I have copied all my music folders to my Laptop again. This folders have big folder.jpg pictures. Until now WMP was deactivated. When I run your tool, and then let WMP put my folders into its database, the folder.jpg files won't be touched?
this is just to remove a messed up wmp library. this can happen becaue of media sharing ill post a new version when i feel like it lol just dont know if you ppl like it or not
Seems like a lot of messing around to me! I embed all the artwork into the MP3 files BEFORE adding them to any media players or itunes. This way the art stays with the files wherever they go!!
i do the same thing but look in this folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache replace username with your username look at what wmp and mc does with the embedded album art all files are hidden so unhide them it keeps all of them even tho the source file isnt there why have all those files there when they arent needed? new version has a bug that is being fixed
