It did catch most of the Office Updates (15 of the critical ones), but it only grabs 5 out of 11 (less than half) W7 x86/x64 updates and none of the W2K8-R2 updates. For OP, to install go into the client folder and click UpdatesInstaller.exe
Yep, I see what you mean..., bummer as I was looking for a handy tool to keep a library of Off2k8 and Win7 updates.
Autopatcher is amazing but for some reason they haven't added support for Win7 yet.. guess they dont touch beta/prerelease software unfortunately
Good luck finding something more up to date then my list, myself had searched around for weeks and finally force to wrote my own when no one else stepped up.
Yep, I like your tool a lot! I already asked in you own forum-part how to maintain the list for Office2k7 en W7. At the moment I still don't understand how to do that (I realy want to and will distribute that list) Thanks!
Once its done, you should either have burned a disc, or at least made a disc image. Put the disc in, it will start running on its own and keep installing/rebooting until its all up to date. I used to use it at work but eventually I just went to using it to collect all the updates so I could slipstream my own XP/Vista ISO's every few months or so.
That's cool way to do, no need to keep track of updates, it just downloads current listings from M$. Can you ask him how to make it download the R2 updates, have checked both boxes in the W7/R2 section but it only downloaded W7 x86/x64. It did not create a folder for R2 updates. Should we run it from an R2 machine, is that the trick ?
OK, if those are my R2 updates, then where are my W7 x64 updates. Or Is he saying that these .CAB files work on both W7/R2 at teh same time. Unlike the .MSU files which are version specific and will not install on the wrong version It only have 5 CAB files in that folder.
